The Coastal / Yachtmaster® Course is a more advanced navigation course, for more experienced skippers or those building on their Day Skipper Theory knowledge, and will take your knowledge and ability to the level required for Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster® or Advanced PowerBoat practical courses.

The courses are taught in our high quality maritime training classes, with the latest training equipment.   The course provides you with enough knowledge to navigate safely by day and night on longer and more complex passages, and in heavier weather and tidal streams.

The course is taught either over evenings at our RYA Classroom in Glasgow (South), or over weekends at our two-level premises at Largs Yacht Haven.

However you choose to do it, all our Coastal / Yachtmaster® courses include the RYA Course Pack, Online Resources or CD-ROM, RYA Electronic Chartplotter Software, all learing equipment and books, free use of classroom navigation instruments (or purchase your own to keep) and all mock and real assessment fees, as well as your final RYA Certificate.
